Palmer, Black Palm Cockatoo

What a beautiful bird the Black Palm Cockatoo is. This one is owned by a friend of mine. Palmer seems to be saying " Don't hate me because I am beautiful." What a shame that they are diminishing in the wild.

Peppermill

This was a hard painting to photograph. Dark colors don't photograph well. Probably because I don't know what I am doing. The colors are not correct, but it is the closest I can get. This subject was an experiment. I wanted to see if I could get the look of the clear plexiglass. The biggest challenge was trying to get the proportions even on each side and not look crooked.
